Pooling with glaze is too much on your brush or the glaze is drying as you apply it but probably too much, I tend to do really thin coats and build up the colour, if I'm speed painting I just slap it on and then drybrush over the pooling.

All done! On to the cold one's rider now (I laid the base colours yesterday, will be shading today if all goes well).

I tried a pretty vivid green glaze to alleviate the red stains and diversify the tints. It didn't exactly work out but the added colour still looks better imho.
As for the metal parts I decided to stick with the rusty aspect I had in mind but tried not to overdo it. Maybe I didn't do enough because of that, you guys tell me what you think!!
As usual the highlights really aren't making it through the lens. I have no idea why, maybe it's the lighting i haven't figured out……

As always criticism and advice are more than welcome :writing: (and thanks again for your opinions on this guy, it was really helpful)

    Cheers!

:smuggrin: Thanks guys! I didn't exactly think of Arkham but that was the general idea… It came from the guy's face, with the red glaze that got stuck in his mouth it started reminding me of th Joker for some reason.
I'm very glad the creepy touch is getting across!! :vamp:

That blueish black and the blue eyes are a great contrast to the orange, well done!

    Thanks!! :)
Nothing too fancy, it's a kind of blueish black tone I've been using quite a bit lately:
    a) you'll start with a base layer of chaos black + a little midnight blue, (and maybe codex grey if you want to make it more greyish or to be able to shade with black and get more contrast. I didn't do that here).
    b) you just create your highlights by adding increasing amounts of shadow grey in your blend.
    c) Then, if you want a shiny texture or a lot of contrast, you can add white and possibly end with pure white dots.
    d) If you want to spend more time you can also glaze or, if you like colour oppositions, add some red in the recesses (found the tip on this website: http://gangeekstyle.com/2015/11/legion-of-everblight/).
The more numerous the steps you take, the better the result of course… I just did 3 or 4 here, no glazes or anything, just base layer + 3 - 4 highlights. Looks good enough as i didn't want to put much effort into this guy, and it didn't take too much time!!

Hey fellas! Long time no see.

Now the days are growing colder, I'm back… with more stuff in the same vein. Completed the base on my rider (with hindsight I might have chosen other colours for the cold one, it draws a lot of the attention to itself…) and started another Poxwalker!

    Hope you guys are great.

That cold one is pretty cool!
I like how you used the dark shades to make the teeth and claws look thinner, that reduces the derpiness of the model.
Also great work on the skin of both the rider and the mount!
