    Absolutely Yes.
Shooting is a danger (partially mitigated by the high move).
I usually play it with legion of blood and another vampire lord on nightmare.
Double command ability on the VLoZD, which, also tnx to the LoB, gains +2 attacks on weapons, plus the command trait that inflict MWs on 6+. Not hard to do when you attack like 18-19 times rerolling all failed to hit.
Not invincibile but pretty scary, able to erase any target. At 1000 pts in casual engagement is absolutely brutal.

Judgement Blade is not reliable, because it can be easily ruined by -1 to-hit. Last tournament I faced VLoZD taken in Legion of Night with -1 to-hit in close combat trait and Etherial Amulet. It was practicaly invincible in close combat thanks to mystic shield.

Grand host of Nagash can easily negate Judgement Blade with overhelming dread.

I still consider mass shooting as the only way to deal with nagash for seraphon, since he'll be taking 4+ saves from bastiladons and razordons at half range.

Shooting and rend? Sounds like a job for a razordon! Or bastiladon

If that is the case then what artifacts might be better for the dragon?

Dam, that’s good. But razordons that don’t have rend would probably do good on them

yes mas attacks is generally the response to a very tanky unit, odds can only protect you for so long.
the thing is mass range is a lot rarer than rend is.
VLoZD is a hard one to counter you cant tar pit him he can fly, you can't profile and then ignore him he heals, and he is to fast to leave on the far side of the board. your only option is to kill him in one go and the best way to do that is rend. if he now ignores rend the only options left is hit him with a very killy melee unit that doesn't need rend (and we don't have that) or several very killy ranged units (we are one of the very few who do have that).

Well carnosaurs don’t have much rend, so in theory a scarveteran on carnosaur could actually deal a decent amount of damage for Melee against the dragon, but other than that I see what your saying, they are really totally tough to bring down in one go

A buffed up Oldblood on Carnosaur is still a threat to the VLoZD. However the best methods to kill the VLoZD is to double turn and get two rounds of attacks before they can heal.

Makes sense, a double turn can destroy anything! It is good to see though that carnosaurs work against them

An Oldblood Carno w/Doppelganger's Cloak is a threat to just about any behemoth. It really reduces the opponent's ability to counter play your engagements.
