Put together a second contemptor dreadnought today, this one being the Death Guard one from Forgeworld. I need to add a few more xenos skulls to the front, but I did craft a few purity seals to decorate the back. Sadly I am NOT impressed with this forgeworld model. Tons of flash and issues with parts of the rubber mold stuck in the miniature itself! Really dissappointed, I have gotten many other models (for way cheaper) with better quality than this. Hell my own resin casts I would put in almost better quality. Only issue I didn't have with this guy was there were no bubbles. Kinda nervous, I really wanted to get a deredeo someday Also fun fact, I ordered both the dreadnought body and a close combat arm back in March, I have yet to receive the arm. May have to send a second request email... Here he is next to the previous dreadnought, the plastic one from Betrayal of Calth that I already painted up and completed.
Awesome mate! I love the whole gang!! The color scheme is proven to be a great match You are combining it better and better with this bunch of models. I like the small amount of greens and whites it makes them pop even more. Great work on the shock-staves and visors. Grrr, Imrahil
More WIP space marine pictures. Spoiler A knightly looking marine: Some comms specialists, which I have decided to paint with orange arms (to harken back to the Watch Fortress's relationship with Forgeworld Ryza): The medics, which I plan to practice painting more white armor. And the 1st Company captain in his gravis-armor-weapon-optioned-glory:
Gravis captain completed a few days ago (Black Dragons Chapter): He has a few weapon options to swap in and out as both his arms are magnetized. Spoiler Shot showing off his Deathwatch shoulderpad: Double-Aggressor-Bolt-and-Powerfist Arms Power Weapon and Heavy Bolt Rifle: Chainsword: Overall he is adequate, not my favorite paint job of the bunch so far, but I am glad he is complete and ready to lead the 1st Watch Company.
as a retailer, keep on emailing. once a week, like clockwork, if you stop getting responses, up that to twice a week on monday and friday. after 3 months I'd escalate to small claims.
Made a Wolverine-inspired weapons upgrade to one of my space marines! Spoiler: lightning claws The lightning claws came out of the Black Templars sword brethren kit. I used a few more pieces out of the kit to convert up the last stormcast eternal into a Bladeguard Veteran, and converted up a Judiciar (chaplain in training) with a big Necron blade:
Last few weeks have been busy but slowly I am working on more deathwatch! Got a big batch of eliminators nearly complete: Just added their heraldry transfers, got to finish the bases and a bit of gold and I think I can call these two squads complete. Painting the binoculars was hard!
