I decided to take some time while I was waiting for commission paint to dry and paint up two models for myself.

One is a counts-as Mordian iron guard, made from the new Bulldogs kit.

The other is a cavalryman made from gripping bee slate Roman cavalry and bits from Wargames Atlantic

Swatches of some of the new contrast paints on my off white primer

Greens:

Striking Scorpion green = nice flow into receeses. Will most likely look better over White.

Karandras green = good orc flesh color. Good flow, doesn't dry wierd.



Sewers - new daily driver. Lighter pigmentation level of cygor brown.

Magmadroth flame - I was skeptical, but I think this will be good over white. In natural light the opacity is not 100%, so it would need two coats or highlights to hide that.

Imperial fist - same comments as magmadroth, but for yellow. Plenty of applications.

Ratling grime - another daily driver. Sort of a mix between being what skeleton horde is for bone, but for browns, mixed with a tingle of nuln oil thrown over top.



Leviathan purple - I wanted the other new purple, but the local didn't have it in stock. Not necessarily what I wanted as it's a bit dark but otherwise it's nice.

I've built these in the past 24 hours, while also working on the riftforged orcs commission.
