The looming excitement that might be TW warhammer III

The two people I most frequently disagree with on the forum, and now I find that they are in disagreement with each other. Normally, my stance would simply be the opposite of each of yours, but since you guys are on opposite sides, that would mean that to disagree with one of you, I'd have to agree with the other.

Paradox!

I MUST find a third option!

They both are wrong! find weaknesses in each argument.

well that one dwarf has a cute little babywalker. Adorable.

I was tempted to plaster it everywhere across the forum, but I thought a bit of (relative) moderation was in order. :)

That's not like you, restraint is more a trait of the Jedi than the Sith :p...

Not to worry, there will be more as info becomes available.

...but perhaps it is just a Sith ploy to appear restrained before unleashing your

Apparently there is a bit of pushback against the Chaos Dwarf DLC as CA have increased its price as compared to the previous DLCs.

Just looked at it, it's 24,99 euro. In contrast the ogers are 11,99
It's quite the price hike

To be fair, the Ogre Kingdoms DLC seems low priced compared to others. Without sales discounts I see it listed on steam at $15.99CAD. In contrast, the regular price for the Rise of the Tomb Kings DLC is $21.99CAD. The question is, what was the price of the TK DLC at release? Has the regular price been lowered, or does CA / Steam just apply sales discounts to an unchanging regular price?

Either way, the full price of the Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs sits at $33.49CAD, which is a significant percentage of Warhammer III's base game price ($79.99, though currently on sale for $53.59).

I guess you have to pay for quality. The Chaos Dwarfs, being the best race, carry the highest price tag. :D Now we'll have to wait to see how many people are willing to pay that much money for a DLC. If I was playing Total War, I'd buy it, but I'm also probably more of a Chaos Dwarf fan than most.

I wonder if CA will eventually release a complete edition of the Total War: Warhammer series with all the DLC included? Maybe I'll have a computer capable of running it by then!

I think most of em are usually 10-15,- euro.
So about 20-30% of the new game give or take.
Chaos dwarfs is more like 50%.

In fairness, the chaos dwarf faction does come with 26 units, which is more than usual. But it still seems steep unless it has some bonus.

That's a substantial price hike. How many units do DLC factions typically get?

Maybe people will just wait for it to go on sale. Total War Warhammer content is always being discounted. It's also true for video games as a whole.

I think it's usually like 10-15-ish units for a new faction, which eventually gets filled out with a 2nd or 3th round of dlc/freelc.

So in that sense it's a big faction.

It might also just be that they're not planning any additional chaos dwarf dlc.
3 legendary lords, 1 legendary hero, and 26 units
Which is a pretty complete roster. Most other factions only get there afer 1 or 2 extra dlc.

Did CA actually release a statement explaining why it's so expensive?

Not that I know of, but I don't follow it too closely as I've never actually played a Total War game.

That's not too bad then.
