300 point club - Get bizzay, you slackers! >:(

The 300 points is all the points total, so say you had a unit of Saurus with a full command, you can add in those points, but only if the command models are used. An easier way of justifying this is; say you have a Skink Shaman, you can claim the base amount of points, but you can't add Dispel Scrolls, Lvl2, etc. unless you convert the model to represent the equipment/upgrades. Got it? :D

How do you convert a level 2 upgrade?
 
I don't know, but if you find a way, you can add the points.
 
If you use a normal stick as level 1 you can use a stick with some entangling plants as level 2 :D or if it's an scroll you can make a scrolled up scroll as level 1 and a long scrolled out scroll as level 2

Painting gems convincingly is hard. Those look okay if you squint or are on the other side of the table.

I'm guessing that since we are actually in June and July hasn't started yet, that maybe it is counting as June.... Just a sneaking suspicion.
 
Yeah. This is June.... not sure what I'm doing for July yet.... although I did just come into a lot of lizardmen. A friend decided he wanted to go back to his elves and sold me his 2 stegadons, 2 salamanders 2 razordons 20 TG, 24 Saurus, 30 skinks, 8 cold ones, a skink preist or chief, I can't remember which, saurus lord on foot, and carnosaur. For $100
1 steg, the saurus, skinks, cold ones, and non-carno characters are painted. I'm not sure about the TG. I just doub;ed th size of my army for 1/3 of retail (ish). I'm very happy.
I'll probably do the salamanders/razordons.....

Thank you. THe highlighting was actually very easy.... i painted it yellow and washed it red, and because I painted him off of his base, the red rubbed off on the raised areas, making a nice, easy highlight.

Wow that was a long, rambling post.

So, I have yet to hear back from Craken on whether or not he's making a medal for this month, and it seems like activity on this thread has gone down a lot anyways, so I'll probably just whip something up real quick and call 'er good in the next couple of days. I managed to paint 10 Saurus, which is what, like 120 points, plus a Standard bearer, champion, and musician for a skink unit, which is another 38 points, plus the conversion bonus... that's 258 points, right? Maybe I'll have to paint some Skinks before the 7th...

I should be getting the rest of the figs I bought late tonight. Probably paint the sallies/razordons. 75 pts each (right?) will give me 300.

In the past month I've painted my 1k army of
SV mounted (BBoC and Ench shield)
BSB on foot (chakax model - hide of the cold ones)
14 Saurus with spears, mus, std
10 tg, mus, std
11 skinks, krox
5 SCOC, mus, std
It comes to 996 points (including 80 on items and 25 on BSB-ness). If it counts for anything I'm also halfway through painting a stegadon and painted a hydra and handlers for a friend (175 pts I think. (I get to paint a tester for his sweet sweet cold one knights units cause he likes the way I choose my colours!)

Not sure quite how your rules for unconverted heroes works but with the hydra certainly that should come to 1000 this month :) (how sweet it is to have exams off). Will post an army shot later and if i can I'll do a shot of the hydra (seeing my friend rogier tomorrow)
