Ok so now that my internet likes me again, an update to what I've been working on.

First off the local cult to sotek has provided the army with 38 skink archers, their arrow tips dipped in salamander venom.

These plastic skinks are not the most detailed things and mine have seen a coat of paint or two. But I think they came together rather well. I'm sure I'll get more questions about the basework but guess what!?
    IMAG0263.jpg
Been playing around a bit with the textured paint and I'm reasonably happy with the effects it creates. Hey if nothing else it's a step up from my previous work :p

I might try to get some better pics of the command but that's a taste of my latest work. I have some ripperdactyls that need a paint job they'll begin soon and I am probably going to pick another classic 5th ed unit to work on. Probably the blue surus unit or the last 36 plastic skinks havn't decided which. As you can see I've finally managed to assemble the army I wanted as a freshly spawned commander. Screens of skinks and kroxigors to cover the advance of the saururs blocks with some speedy hitters on the wings to sweep around. Further units of skinks to cover the flanks in their wake. It's in the low 4000k side of points under 5th ed rules which were a real mess to calculate xD.

Let me know what you think :)

In other project news.... some pallet cleansers and prototypes....

The priests are gathering up swarms of lustrian denizens two by two.
    IMAG0268.jpg
Some of the skinks have failed to return back from their long range Jungle patrols. We fear the worst
    IMAG0269.jpg
Captured ripperdactyls have hatched and are maturing though their mottled hides have yet to come in. The skinks have called this one Sandy.
    IMAG0270.jpg
The sacred plaques show a new spawning of skinks may be coming soon, they shall be marked in the sacred colours Tlachaka god of discount produce.
    IMAG0271.jpg
Anyway that's some of the stuff in progress on my painting table right now. Basing is still in the back of my mind if I get more of that done I'll let you all know :p.

Well thankfully/sadly its actually only 3 coats of paint for the skin (Xv-88, Zamesi desert and earthshade). The paint was mostly lost to a late night elbow bump, shades spill out onto a work bench fast. O.O

    Thanks :)
Think i still want to highlight the skin a bit and more mottled appearance to the wings maybe in some of the warmer browns, I haven't decided yet but I'll keep everyone in the loop :p

gonna look good gonna look good gonna look good……
If i can just make a suggestion here, though: maybe you should try to avoid painting too late in the evening. you might end up damaging your eyes :/

I'm sadly entering a career of florescent lights, and evening/night shifts I don't think painting into the am is going to be any worse then that :p.
