Blog Back to Lizzies new and old. Also 40k?

Interesting effect you have painted on the wings with the black stripes on gold! Kinda like flying tigers...

Well done!

Really like them! And don´t worry about the spot, it took me a while to find it even after you mentioned it ;)

Reminds me of my own old saurus warriors... Really cool!

OK so it's been over a month what do I have to show for it....
I have painted the command for my Olive green regiment I was finishing up last update.

You may also remember I had a picture of a side project a while back well my Orc shaman has been coming along nicely.

And more recently been trying to finish off the last of my old plastic skinks I fear another big conveyor belt is in the works. I want to keep them moving along and work on some of my 5th ed terradons. Some pics of the terradons once I find a colour scheme I like. The challenge is real.

I also got full time employment so yay less time for painting >.>

The command unit looks great! The star of this show though is that shaman. So many brilliant colours. Great detail and just looks so amazing!

Just need to finish up his little squiggly beast for the base :) and I can finish him off I'm quite pleased with him.

Great work! Specially like the chaman´s skin tone! Never had seen a red orc!
One fast question: was there something in wurzag´s (I think that´s how he´s called) fluff related to lizardmen? Because his cloak can´t be other but skink skin.

I've done a lot of green and blue lizardmen so the ruddy brown was appealing to contrast for a change more like the urukai from lotr. Since people mention the skin, I made the colour using doombull brown and several mixes of lighter shades of the same over the raised bits with several washes of Agarax earthshade for the creases in the skin.

In 6th ed there wasn't anything about skinks but in 8th where i think this sculpt started his green crusade starts in the southlands where he leads the savage orcs to wreck a temple city and erect a monument to gork and mork as the lizards apparently drove them out years ago. It was a fun change of pace from my lizards :).

The shaman looks like he took down a lizardmen and turned him into a cape..

Looks fantastic! Also I really like the color scheme you chose for your olive-green command team. All the extra colors you used on the miniatures really works great with the olive-green skin color! Thanks for posting!:vulcan:

So updates.
My 5th ed plastic bowmen continue to progress. I'm working on 2 units of 18 and when they're done I won't need to paint these terrible sculpts ever again wheee!

I also think I mentioned terradons, not sure how I feel about it but I got this very cloudy effect I think I like still working on what i want to do with it.

And lastly some tiny guys. The last lizards for my jungle swarm and the squiggly beast for my shaman.

I actulley really like the terradon paint job how its going a cloudy effect is a nice idea

Yeah I think I want to mix it with some darker blacks/blues for kind of a seagull, tern, seabird kind of look maybe a highlight colour in a couple places. Haven't figured it all out yet.

They all look great! Love the skinks, you have painted the skin beautifully.
