Yes nice trade for sure I think for both party, it sound like he got those second hand but there’s only one model with paint so at lease I don’t have to strip them.... especially when I got all of those SCE for next to nothing and still have some left over parts/models for Warcry lol... now I can pair these ironjaws with my bonespliters (which are still on sprue)

Ill probably go with green skin and perhaps yellow armour but will see for the armour I’ll do some research and make up my mind!!

I followed GW tutorials for the most part except at the end I did a casa dora yellow wash to help everything blend together!!

Now there’s a few metal piece on these bad boys and claws and teeth now the question do I leave it be ? Or do I paint the metals, claws and teeth’s? Oh and eyes?

Or will it just look too weird?!? Out of places?

Now I’m asking folks that have painted similar paint scheme!!

    Wow, that looks awesome!

I think any metal pieces would simply melt and I think they would look a bit silly because of that. As for eyes maybe a menacing black? Claws and teeth I have no idea.

There isn't much space on the 25mm bases anyway, so probsably just make it sand for the small ones and do the water thing on the larger ones.

True that yeah was kinda hard to find a spot to put any water on the 25mm one

That work is awesome. I was wondering how did Salamanders look like with GW tutorial and I'm not dissapointed. However, I think I will buy 3 boxes of Flesh Hounds and 2 of Skinks for Salamanders and Razordon. It's way cheaper and I don't really like GW's Salamander models, much less if they are resin.

I would paint the metal and claws the best you could do. In my opinion, the "lava army" only applies to skin, scales... Biological stuff.

Alright guys so I’ve been realizing that I’ve been doing lots of little things here and there stripping and reassembling some models and not actually painting anyway so I started to paint my orruks.... who knows why but anyway I wanted to do the yellow armour scheme ... well im not successful so far....

I was think of doing there pants purple so I gave that a try first coat almost cover it all.... now do I just keep going purple?!? But then I’ll need another pants colour for the brutes.... or just go all out on white over the models and then redo there skins to be fair I only have the base coat on the skin so wouldn’t be that hard....

It’s funny and not so funny how some colour cover well while others don’t maybe it’s just me but even Corvus black seem terrible for coverage so far....

    Little tiny update!!

I’ve somewhat finish building my shattered stormvault terrain somewhat because I’ll probably magnetized a couple Seraphon’s gif to put on them but other wise it’s complete and ready for priming!!

I’ve started to vanish my original terrain for warcry so that’s a plus don’t have any picture of that...

    1DF0839A-F752-4280-8F2E-B771FBCE5125.jpeg

As you can see there fully customizable, the platform are 4/2 and 3/3 (magnets) so I can make any design from the terrain card that came with it, every post got a magnet and 4 got some for the candle ( probably where I’ll put some seraphon serpent or something) once painted I think I’ll glue the gryphons the there base.

Magnets rule indeed!! Just seem the right thing to do in this one!! Been way easiest for storage and versatility!!

And now that I have 1000magnet may as well use them lol

Little update, been working the past couple night/days on my RSE!!

    C20243DE-FC7F-48B9-9935-6DCEF9B55E55.jpeg

So planning on leaving it as is until priming/painting is done and then glue the top 2 piece together leaving it separate from the pyramid itself, so I can do this with it!!

    Easy storage!!! I think anyway!!

Now I’m facing a dilemma... how to paint it...

#1 - paint it like all my other terrain piece brown with beige over spray :meh:

#2 - paint it grey stone like I would ( once I found a recipe I like) for every other piece of stone for seraphon aka slann

#3 - paint it my daughter favourite colour ( black, purple, pink) I was thinking prime black over spray white (focusing 2/3 top), purple wash or made up glaze, white spray (focusing 1/3 top) pink made up glaze. And probably a bit of dry brush ?!?

#4 - metal but then again it’s made of bricks.... I suppose it could be heat resistant bricks so what colour are those white?!?

Anyone try to do something like #3 ?

Just the top more white light ( more WTF it was just the top white light) lol

I still to get something to line it up I’ll have to stop at the dollar tree next time I’m out I’m thinking a white and a black sheet should do!!

    Cheers

So the girls were out biking perfect time to start some paint schemes...

2 of which I knew I wanted to do and the other 2 was more of a last minute additions!!

So first was the boxes art aka the light blue skink colour with eventually red crest, second I’m trying to achieve a purple/pink and the last 2 I’ll try a yellow one and albino one I think that’s what it will end up like.

I’m looking at probably doing blue for most skinks and purple for the handles or what ever colour goes the best with the salamanders!!

I’ll be trying to do Itepixcauh method for the blue and similar ways for purple etc will see how things goes I guess!!

Here the first step so far

    E50C7C61-8ADF-4974-B033-BD66B54F545B.jpeg

Starting to work on the back scales!!

    64836E1C-4E28-4616-81FF-F0E172E15216.jpeg

I’ll have to look at them again

I like the teal and gray one, not too sure about the purple one and the yellow one I’m not a fan maybe its the consistency of the paint that throwing it off for me perhaps I have to try with a different red or perhaps orange?!?
