Apologies for the Delay I was feeling a bit bored of finishing my armys and as i am so ahead of schedule i though i would work a bit on my Tau of the 7 Samurai. here is one of the 7 Samurai.




AND HERE IT IS!!!!!!
Note: the water effect is still drying thats why some parts look creamy white. also i added water effect behind the demons so it looked like they are still wet and left a wet trail behind them.

Ill try and get some better photos sorry about the water cooler XD.

Also I put some water effect behind the daemons to show they are wet but I'm thinking I may need to mix some blue ink into the water effect because it is almost impossible to see in photos

One of the best projects I've ever seen. Everything about this is brilliantly done. Good luck at Armies on Parade; I reckon you'll kill the competition!

Its really cool to see it done now i started planning it around 8 months ago when i was in Athens i took my girlfriend up to see the Parthenon (she is from Barcelona and had never seen it) and i had just been to games day 2 weeks before, so i was keen on the idea of making my own then i got the idea of my Greek lizardmen ontop of the Parthenon.

it evolved quite a bit over the past 8 months.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for being so supportive,

Small update wile looking at the photos i realized that some of my temple guard where missing shields. it looks a lot better with them.

Also here is a more detailed pic of the skink on top of the temple, i was going for a bit of a mystical event, you know like the story's of status of Jesus having his hands bleeding etc.

the water effects are utterly delicious!
by armies on parade, do you mean the one in white dwarf?
'Cos if so, you deserve to get in.
I'll be on the lookout for you army!
I wish I could blend that well. *leaves computer to ponder jealously*

Hey, Yes its for the Armys on Parade that is in the White Dwarf. so wish me luck!

and Thanks for the kind words, also honestly im JUST learning how to blend i think my Slann and some of the daemons are the first time i really got blending to work properly.

Truly a fantastic piece of work, it reminds me of the diorama displays games workshop stores put in their front window to attract customers! thanks for sharing this is awesome.

apart from the beautifully painted miniatures my favorite part of this piece is the carving of statues on the frieze of the temple front. it really adds a storyline and sense of an epic centuries old old and neverending battle between the lizardmen and the daemons :smug:

I just started on a Tau forum, and made a post like this about my Samurai Tau.. and i get swarms of comments about how its "been done" xD

i actually have one, a Tzench themed army, all centered around my greater demon of Tzench here is a pic, originally i wanted to put him into this scene but it just didn't fit nicely.

The demon looks great here from this angle but it was just to big and bombastic that it mad the lizards disappear into the background.

ahhh great call on the tinted water trail,
after that is't what you would call normal water anyway. :jawdrop:
The whole project looks amazing, you should defintely earn a prize for it. :smug:
