Blog Itepixcauh Skinks

@Itepixcauh Thanks so much - up until now I've been using a different process you posted in this thread which was

Mephiston -> Agrax -> Mephiston -> Wild Rider -> Fire Dragon -> Bloodletting

Do you find it makes a significant difference using Carroburg Crimson over Agrax?

Also wonderful work on those videos! I find your stuff very inspiring

Oh I thought in the video I used Agrax. I use Agrax for my Skinks

It makes almost no different though. It's very subtle. Agrax makes for a darker shadows overall

I had a real blast painting this guy, he looks almost identical in tone to Oxyotl and he was a true pain, I remember him as pure hell. Full Orange unit of Chameleons HERE I GO!

Thanks! I will Base him and take a nicer picture later, I'm so happy to be able to paint orange with no suffering

Excellent chameleon skinks!

But the real question is: will you do a carnosaur?

Troglodons are awesome, while I like my carnosaurs more I can definitely see why people like the appearance of the Troglodon more than the carnosaur

I do like him (and i'm not the only one it seems). Keep up the great work mate :)

Today I came near a Space Marine, don't worry, I'm better now.

Watch the tutorial here:

Turns out I own PRECISELY one Space Marine, so decided to use him to test recipes and record videos! I still feel dirty about it.

Hope you guys like it!

@Itepixcauh Wonderful work as always! How do you do your spear tips? And which paint do you use for gold? Thank you in advance

My spears and stone in general is done like this:

- Basecoat of Dawnstone
- Wash with Agrax
- Drybrush with Administratum Grey
- Edge with Administratum
- Edge with Ulthuan
- Glaze in Biel-Tan Green into the shadows and some midtones

For gold I do:

- Balthasar Gold
- Wash with Agrax
- Layer Gehenas Gold
- Edge with Stormhost Silver

Hope that helps!
