Hello boys and girls and welcome to Let's Get Motivated - April 2021

This thread is too get us motivated each month into finishing projects that we have on the go, the rules are fairly simple.

At the start of the month post what you intend to try and finish this month, it can be models/terrain/conversions of any game type. No pressure if you don't finish anything this is for motivation nothing else.

Around the middle of the month post your progress, no images please, if you have want to share your progress with images, upload them into your blog and supply a link.

Around the end of the month post your progress, again no images, if you have finished a piece upload the images into your blog and supply a link.

The reason I don't want images in this thread is too get everyone that takes part views in their personal blog where the community can critique, etc.

You don't have a paint blog? well get one started in this forum section.

If you need advice etc. post here and the community will try and answer.

I'm looking forward to seeing everyone share their progress

Goals for April:
  • Paint and base 2 units of Phase 1 Clone Troopers
  • Paint and base 1 unit of Phase 2 Clone Troopers.
  • Paint and base 1 SW Legion character mode.
I'm already sick of painting white just thinking about it haha
 
Since my goals for last month are all done
I start of with a clean sheet.

For this month I would like to:

- Finish painting 2 Rivendell Warriors
- Finish painting a Rivendell Knight
- Finish painting 3 Scenery road parts
and possibly
- Create some more scatter terrain/vegetation

Trying to finish up my Seraphon army and be ready for some games come May! To do this, I need to:

Paint up 30x Saurus warriors
Paint up 1x Scar-Vet on carno
Paint up 1x Lord Kroak
Paint up 1x Skink Starpriest
Kitbash and paint up 1x Saurus Astrolith bearer

It's a lot of models, but if I do it I will have a 2000 point list I can try out and play. We'll see how it goes.
 
Here's my monthly painting vows copied from Moulder Pitfighters for April:

Assemble:
Four Liberators (4 V.V.P.s) - Completed!
Two Liberator Primes (2 V.V.P.s) -
One Prosecutor Prime (1 V.V.P.s) -

Paint:
Other half of the Garden of Morr (7 V.V.P.s) – 4/10 pieces completed!
Five Dreadscythe Harridans (10 V.V.P.s) -
Four Glaivewraiths (8 V.V.P.s) –
Five Castigators (10 V.V.P.s) -
One Knight-Questor (5 V.V.P.s) -
One Knight-Incantor (5 V.V.P.s) -
One Guardian of Souls (5 V.V.P.s) -
One Spirit Torment (5 V.V.P.s) -

Basing
Four Glaivewraith sculpted bases (4 V.V.P.s) -
Celestar Battery (1 V.V.P.s) –
Celestar Crew (2 V.V.P.s) -
Two Dreadblade Harrow sculpted bases (2 V.V.P.s) -

Some of the sculpted bases scare me... :P
 
April goals:

- Finish painting 10 cold one riders
- Paint 10 skinks
- Bonus: magnetize the bases of all unmagnetized models (61 total)
- Bonus: prime some minis!

I'm moving next month, so having all my models magnetized for transportation will be useful. If I don't get around to it, that's a goal for early May.
 
My goals for april wpuld be:

Get new parts for troglodon's head since it got knocked over while i wasen't home and broke it's horns

Add finishing touches and paint my converted skink chief

Start painting some assambled models(hopefully)

Make a new arm for a special character(not telling who it is yet) since i got them with only left one

Assamble remaining skinks from start collecting box

Halfway there! 16 skinks done and Kroak has been primed. Though I might not make it to the Trog but we shall see.

Stinks that I'm only just now getting to Kroak right after the announcement. Doesn't motivate me all that much to paint him. But he was a Christmas present from my partner and so I still want to do his current form justice. Had to get through the rest of my backlog first.

April goals:
  • Build and paint the Saurus Knights
  • Base Saurus Guard and Troglodonosaur
  • Wait patiently for my Infinity Miltary Orders Box to arrive
  • Bonus Goal: Start going through my models to touch up list.

Happy to say I finished my painting goals early this month. I also managed to magnetize the bases of all my built models, and I even primed a few models. Now to figure out what I can get a head-start on for May...
