AoS NEW *rumor*

In an example where we have our slann as general a Astrolith bearer on the board and an additional oracle which would be 660 points in itself we can get 4 to 12 points per round if we sacrifice 1 spell on both the slann and the oracle. After lets say 3 rounds we have 12 to 36 points so in the worst case we can summon 20 skinks or 1 unit costing up to 10 points and in the best case we can summon an engine or a stegadon with chief and 10 skinks

So have we seen the summoning chart then? Has it been confirmed that the point cost for summoning is the same?

And for points we get d3 from slann or starseer as general, d3 from one or more astrolith bearers on board and d3 per first spell not used on slann or oracle plus someone said that we get an additional d3 for a super-battalion

There's a lot of 10 point summons on there. Assuming we should have about 10 points by turn 2-3 then. There must be something we're not seeing for it, or it's been overtuned as a reaction to what we used to do.

It is reasonable to expect 7 per turn if you give up a spell and have both a Slann/oracle & Saurus AB.

Very fair. It will depend how warscrolls, battalions, ect shape up. Currently Saurus are still pretty useable for Starborne though. So it will take a lot to make me want to give up LoSaT.
i hope we still have skinks i want to keep dancing but if they loose wary fighter then we can't aford to loose units any more

Really hoping Rippers, Terradons, and Chameleon Skinks are the must have units of the book. They are my favorites.
I'm really afraid about terradons an rippers and the new cost.... moreover all box have 3 units and now we have 2 new heroes... maybe terradons and rypper units will be 2 terradons/ripper + hero¿? and the rest group of 3 normal¿?

One box of Terradons can net you one of each hero and a third to convert/use bits from another box to be a second of either.
So overall, I think it's fine as it goes for kits. Already planned on picking up multiple of the new SC, and I have 6 rippers currently, with 3 Terradons on sprue ...

Bastiladon with Ark of Sotek:

18 attacks
9 hits
3 MW from the special rule, continuing with six regular hits
1 wound
0.5 damage vs 4+ save

plus regular melee attacks

3 attacks
2 hits
1.34 wounds
1.78 damage (0.89 unsaved wounds x 2 damage)

total melee damage: 5.28 vs 4+ save

Setting the world on fire, you heard it here first.

depending on battalions, looks like i'm gonna want an AB, starseer, and a starpriest for the stacking defensive buffs on a 40 block. Could be pretty nasty.
For sure. And the Starseering and Trog being the replacement Slann is pretty awesome. I like both those models a lot. The idea of them leading an Army of Saurus to battle make me very happy. Or a Starseer with his Temple Guard and a bunch of Rippers/Terradons, Hunting packs, and a Trog. Feels fluffy and strong.

Well, except for Slannesh. I do wish Starborn has buffs to summoning. Like maybe d6 per or perhaps we can give up more spells?
Meh, I'd rather have something more stable than yet another diceroll. Imho that's the biggest issue with what I've seen so far, there's huge variety in how effective your points generation is going to be. Having everything be D3's means there's going to be a massive difference between a lucky and unlucky match. Especially seeing as big summons aren't going to be overly usefull in turn 4 or 5 anymore as the game is nearly over. And the starseer, slann & astrolith are not so cheap that we can spam enough of them for the rolls to reliably average out. This is about the only change I've seen so far I genuinly don't like as it makes it closter to a gimmick than an actually viable & reliable strategy.
