AoS NEW *rumor*

One disappointment is definitely the Astrolith though. The loss of the reroll hits bubble will hurt.
But, that does mean we don't have to clump up our most expensive monsters and units to benefit from it.

SKINK STARSEER:

It flies.

Abilities:
Cosmic herald: At the start of your hero phase, make a 1D6 roll. On a 4+ you get a CP.
Staff: At the start of charge phase you can choose a friendly SERAPHON unit completely within 12 inches from this miniature. If you do, you can try to charge with that unit if it is at 18 inches or less of the enemy (instead of 12 inches) and make a 3D6 charge woll instead of the usual 2D6 charge roll.
Control the destiny: Casting value of 7. Choose 1 unit within 18 inches from the caster that is visible to it. If that unit is an enemy unit, until your next hero phase it gets -1 to the save rolls. If it is a friendly SERAPHON unit, it gets +1 to saves.

I like this!. Is it a lvl 2 or 1 wizard?

Read the posts haha, it's not that many

Just 10 pages for me and they keep coming! :D

Well, I'll try to fish for pics.

So far looks like EotGs got hit hard for no reason and Slann has to babysit it. Bastiladons are better offensively and more random defensively - way better when at full health and worse after 6 wounds suffered.

Astrolith seem to be worse but still very useful. I play against undead a lot and that FnP aura is so annoying. I'm glad that we got it too. This makes bastiladons a bit less attractive specially that we've lost thunderquake rerolls.

But I'm not going to upset just yet unitl I see all the abilities and allegiences. Some things seem better, some worse, but everything changed, of course. We have to start to learn from zero.

Hmmmm.... it is a mixed bag but I think I actually like most changes.
The general direction seems to be that stuff got more reliable.
Im with you on that. It seems like the full s2d treatment. Everything got a smidge more rend, some more mw output, and more reliable. Should make us quite a bit better.

So we have multiple ways to stack MW on wound/hit? Basti now has 16 melee attacks? UMMM Yes please. Need full rules for more clarification but boys I think there are going to be so many new synergies to discover we just need the full book.

So far I'm excited.
It's 18 attacks but that's for the ark of sotek, and it only his on a 6. Sooooo. He has also lost his mw save and his ignore rend. Not good

A unit of 40 saurus with mw on 6s sounds nice to me
Yep. That is pretty solid! Sounds like spears will still be go for big units if no other reason than fishing for 6's. I think we will be able to deal with Fyreslayers and OB now. In combat, instead of just having to jump around and play objectives.

I was hoping that wouldnt be the case haha

I really dont want to remodel to spears

Some of us are. Everything I've seen is fair and can be used to effect. Except the Battalions. I don't understand that mess.

Really?
The synergies are still unclear but the changes to warscrolls are linda lame.
Troglodon is buffed and it's good.
EotG has been nerfed hard.
Bastiladon has changed, it's a mixed bag.
A skink hero with save 6+ is just a joke.
Guards goes to 2 wounds but save 4+.
Razordon are stronger in cc and handlers work as ablative wounds but actually you need 240 pts to field 3 of them, basically having their number.
Astrolith doesn't grant rerolls.
Carnosaur still locked with 4+ save.
Our knights still inflict MW on 6 to wound, while other armies trigger wonder on "to hit"
I could go on.

What exactly do you see that's so good?

Kroak is as follows (take with a grain of salt, because I've never dealt with spanish before):

- His CA is not passive ability;
- looks like he attacks models in range instead of having 2d6 attacks;
- no logner immortal, but 4+ FNP against anything and 7 wounds;
- Masters of Order;
- comets call is the same;
- celestial deliverence is the same as in the FAQ but costs 1 point less (7/8/);
- got Slann's CA.
