Actually I just checked it and it's 50x100mm...

    Bugger...

I think I'm going to keep them on though, as the model is quite long and would make it a ball-ache to rank up.

Finished basing (and re-basing) my Bull Centaurs so they are all now on 50x75mm bases.

    Ready for painting.

It's a toss up on what I do next though:

I may try to do my conversion work to the Giant I bought to make him a Chaos Siege Giant or paint the rest of the Fireborn. We'll see how inspired I feel this evening.

    Okay, (deep breath) restarted now:

Have to just keep reminding myself of that moment when I finally finish my Chaos Dwarf army painting...

Probably YEARS away, but still. Really want that moment of having my own painted army.

    Question:

Some of my paints are separating and even with some seriously vigorous stirring, they rapidly start separating again.

Is there a solution to this? Or is it a sign to get new paint?

Which paints out of curiosity? How long have you had them?

That's strange. I have some GW paints that are 20 years old and still good.

Any advice on what to do with them? I did a LOT of shaking and stirring, but once they were on the palette they started to separate again...

I wish I could offer you advice on it, but I've never had that issue. Unless you are talking about a metal paint on a wet palette, in which case I would recommend not using wet palettes for metal paints.

That's very odd indeed. That definitely shouldn't be happening, especially with paints that aren't that old. What kind of palette are you using? Are the paints still in their original GW pots?

I'm using the GW palette (the one with the removable layers) and the paints are in their GW pots.

I really don't know what's causing that then. You could maybe try adding a stainless steel mixing balls to each pot and see if that helps. Sorry I can't be of more help :(

Stainless Steel ballbearings is what you need to use. Army painter sell a decently priced pack of them. They must be stainless steel though, otherwise you'll get rust forming in your paint.

First coat of white on number 8... Very, VERY tedious. I just have to keep reminding myself about the final product.

    So I've fully primed Fireborn 7, 8 and 9.

I've done first coat of white primer on Fireborn 10 and 11. Just 12 now waiting.

    20220429_085328.jpg 20220429_085311.jpg

Then all the *F$*$$$&£&ing white priming is done and it's going to be downhill.
