Shiro, wrapped in Azaphor's embrace and with spell ready, realizes the additional effectiveness of a combined charge and angles in so he is behind and to the right of Izema as he charges in. Shiro can feel Azaphor's smile as the familiar fiery rush runs through his body. The Scro ahead start to look uncertain, the sharkman is bad enough but what looked like just a human warrior now has glowing red eyes and flames starting to dribble down his chin as he gets closer. Shiro, his body now aflame both in agony and rapture, let's his head back as he runs and bares his teeth. Droplets of fire litter the ground behind his advance. They will PAY.
Seeing his shot connect, Drew smiles, stands from his kneeling position, and runs towards the enemy. Drew looks on in a kind of horror mixed with excitement mixed with fascination as Shiro started drooling fire, and his blade glowed, Drew guessed this was Azaphor at work in Shiro. As he ran, Drew re-loaded his crossbow so he would be ready to fire.
As the adventurers charge forwards, the goblins ready another round of shots. Izema shrugs off those coming his way, but the goblins off to the end of the pier are able to target Drakk as he trails along in the shark-man's wake (Drakk takes 9 damage). Alas, three of those arrows strike home in the kobold. Two are glancing hits, but the third is a fairly solid strike to the kobold's right leg. A few of the goblins continue to try hitting Bigbang as he runs towards the woods, but their arrows fall short. As he approaches the docks, Izema can suddenly feel his body surge bigger as Ohmen's magic fills him with power! He leaps up, clearing the edge of the dock with ease and lands right next to a vindictive-looking half-dragon! Three orcs are to Izema's right, three more on the other side of the half-dragon to his left. Meanwhile, Shiro surges forward and hops up onto the heavy wooden platform that helps to anchor one of the docks' unloading cranes. From there, it is an easy step up onto the docks. Drakk, realizing that he can't follow Izema anymore, veers off to the right and follows Shiro up onto the crane platform. Ohmen smiles as his magic takes effect, but that smile fades a little as he realizes that he's out in the open with no cover and nobody else nearby for support! Drew moves up quickly, sped up by the haste magic. Pulling back the string on his crossbow, he knocks another bolt and starts casting around for a target. None of you know where Vinnie and Archie have gotten to, but a trio of humanoids from the forge are coming out to see what all the commotion is...
Izema's triumph turns to annoyance as the orcs to his right form up and move in to attack. He blocks their feeble attacks easily, but the half-dragon is another story entirely. Flanked on either side, he is unable to stop the first strike from the half-dragon. That warhammer looks like a tool, with a longer handle than a normal hammer would have, but it hits like an anvil! His first strike smashes Izema's shield back into his chest with a ringing impact that makes you stagger (7 damage + 8 points of sonic damage). There is something really wrong about that hammer! You manage to deflect his second attack, but that hammer hits hard! You're beginning to suspect that this guy is a lot more powerful than you in some ways. Off behind him you can see the Scro and his hobgoblin bodyguards head towards the gangplank as another trio of orcs behind the half-dragon move up to support...
Izema flinches as the hammer shakes him to his core but he has friends behind him and his goddes is watching so he keeps going reatching out he grabs the half dragon in a oversised fist and holds him." lets not do that again friend"
Drew successfully finishes reloading his crossbow, moves up another 60 feet, feeling the magic in his bones, kneels again to get a good aim, and fires into the a group of goblin archers. His crossbow is actually in range now, so he doesn't have to give as much leeway for drop, so he can aim pretty close to his target. He fires, and doesn't bother to watch if his strike hits, as he stands, and gets ready to move forward again
Reaching in, Erta grabs the half-dragon, prepping to hold him in place, but the half-dragon laughs and reverses the grapple. He doesn't keep it, though. Instead, he takes a single step backwards and grunts, then staggers and lets go of the shark-man! "What the fang?!?" he shouts. "Why are you so heavy?!?"
Drakk raced behind Shiro to gain cover before looking past Izema noticing the orcs preparing to charge! His eyes start to swirl with the light of the heavens as he raised his now glowing staff into the air. Channeling his power, he says "Duguð næssa ðanc besûpan êow!" (The earth will swallow you), as soon as he said this, the ground beneath them gave way and two orcs fell into a large hole beneath them, while one managed to grab the side and hoist himself up. With a smirk, Drakk readied his staff for whatever would come next. From the hole came the screams of dying orcs and Drakk started to laugh. Just as the third orc managed to scramble out, he ended up stubbing his toe on a rock before starting to yell in what Drakk presumed to be Orcish, without thinking he reached down to grab his foot before he remembered the pit in horror as he fell back to be impaled upon his former weapon that had tumbled down.
Beyond the orcs, the remaining goblins start laughing and pointing at their fallen comrades. This, alas, prompts the Scro on the gangplank to roar his anger and frustration! "STOP THAT LAUGHING!!! Do you know what HAPPENS if you don't STOP LAUGHING?!?" He charges onto the dock and swings his pick at Shiro, missing by a hair as the magus dodges. His hobgoblin bodyguards follow onto the docks, their halberd at the ready. One stands next to his boss, the other is looking for an opening to attack Izema.
Izema sighs (foolish you know better meat rust forms if you don't practice) but not the time for beating himself up the dragon has given him an opportunity. ship life is great for working on ones balance and when the dragon tries to throw him Izema holds firm. reaching out he grabs the creature by the shoulder and one of it's horns. muscle strains against muscle as the 2 titans clash, normally this would be a dead even match the to fighters strengths even but izema is empowered by his friends (he was going to have to thank Omen latter) and failing twice in a row would be to much to bare. slowly ever so slowly he twists the dragon musles creaking under the strain bones crying out in protest he forces the dragon off balance. "your move friend make it count"
Shiro reaches the side of the docks at a dead run, using his momentum he launches himself into the air, using the post as a spring he backflips onto the dock by Izema just in time to meet the rush of the oncoming Orcs. Feeling Azaphor's presence around him, Shiro heaves out a gout of flame into the Orcs, the lead Orc able to do nothing more than widen his eyes before being incinerated by the blast. The other two Orcs get burned but manage to avoid the main blast. Stepping forwards, Shiro's frost-covered sword lashes out, bisecting the next nearest Orc. Dropping into a defensive stance, Shiro beckons the last Orc closer. These were his friends now... his brothers and he would not be found wanting. [Shiro has done the first breath of three of the spell.]
Bang, the trees almost in sight chuckles as he continues to zoom. The goblins' aim is worse then the stench they release. As he does so Bang starts looking for a good tree to run up into so he can start taking shots at the scro and their buddies. Its time to test the rail gun
In the meantime, the half-dragon grappling with Izema begins to laugh. Before Izema can do anything, he opens his mouth and a blast of... something... comes out! Izema feels nothing for a split-second, then suddenly realizes that some weird force is launching him away from the half-dragon! Only... because he's HOLDING the half-dragon, they both go flying! Thinking quickly, Izema grapples his opponent close, twists in mid-air, and does his best to make sure he is on top when they land! The impact against the ground hurts (Izema takes 5 damage), but it is enough to knock the wind out of the half-dragon, and the senses. The half-dragon is unconscious! You end up on the ground below the dock, almost at the feet of Ohmen!
Izema blinks "well that was monumentally stupid friend" he shakes his head and takes the chains from his arms twisting them around his fallen foe and securing the manacles around his wrists ankles and (seeing what just happened) mussel. he stretches not in his best condition and heads back into the fray
Shiro channels the inner fire of Azaphor and reduces the Orc to a cinder. He swings his katana round, but there is a flash from the Scro's neck and the blade is deflected.
Round three, FIGHTING! Note the arrival of three new opponents from the south - the Half-orc smith and his orc assistants!
Behind him, Drakk is suddenly aware of arrows being raised up to shoot him. In a brief vision he sees himself being shot in the back, screams, death, he falls to the ground in a pool of blood. His staff glowing with a new intensity he snaps out of his vision and turns to the goblins. "Sê eorðweg willa begînan êow!" (Let the earth consume you!". With a scream, two goblins plumet into the pit before they stop moving. The third goblin manages to squirm away and tries to shoot an arrow but forgets to grab an arrow and plucks the string in an odd harplike manner. The goblin then starts to pluck the string more curiously to recreate the odd sound.
Drew slings his crossbow over his back, grabs his two punching daggers, runs 60 feet up the dock by way of the crane, engages the scro warrior fighting Shiro. Drew throws a jab at the scro, hitting him hard, the blade digs into his studded leather armor. When Drew pulls the blade out, a little blood squirts from the wound. The scro growls a low "ow" and glares at his new combatant.
