Thanks man! Yeah, the Jade feel is really working too I think, omnius with a drip of regal almost? Just live the feel of like... smooth jade transitioning into a wild untamed redwood almost (his design is partially based on a trunk of a tree going into its canopy lol. Also Red Clay & Jade/Emerald) Yeah man, super interesting for sure. Rrally loved delving into their lore a bit for sure, wish there was more.
Hey everyone! Tried something new! I've never timed myself or attempted a speed paint, so I wanted to see how much of a miniature I could do in an hour. My first Bullgor so far for Animosity IV (which you all should check out if you like Narrative Campaigns!), all just base colors for now. I didn't get everything, felt like I was going pretty slow tbh lol The armor and skin will have more of a difference later on, but this is how I imagine my Ghur Bullgors to look like! I have also been doing some work on Kuugax, this time focusing more on his upper half. Working on his skin tone I did a dry brush of Troll Slayer Orange and then a wash of Reikland Fleshshade. I'll have to go back and do some more highlights/dry brushing as trhe orange doesn't show up as much/at all as I'd like. I also began his first tattoo! I am going for a lightning storm as they are pivotal to Dragon Ogors/ Shaggoths in their life cycle and source of power. Planning maybe 2 more, either another on his chest between the lightning storms, maybe a mountain. The other will likely be on his arm or two on his sides? We'll see! He also fits fairly well on Kragnos's Base, but I have other plans for it (dont worry Imrahil, I'm going to make the Hippogryph a new base that can be used as a Gryphon for CoS!) C&C always welcome, I hope you all have a lovely day!
2 hours in. Base colors done + some light dry brushing of orange onto the skin. Washes and such to come next. I know the armor and skin are a bit similar, that'll change with washes.
Hey Everyone! I have been quiet lately, lots going on - namely being back in school this semester and taking accelerated classes, so a bit stressful lol. I have done a little bit of painting however! I did finish that Bullgor, though I am happy with it I think I will go back eventually and improve upon it, the armor being a focus. Inbetween studying I have also been working on my Lumineth some and I was able to finish my Rune of Petrification! I did this first one in the Alari rebirth theme of greens, yellows and slate - also giving a nice glow to the alrmental energy
Gonna call this Stoneguard done, minus the base. Been a long time coming but glad this one is basically done. Now onto the rest! Will do the base with the rest. I honestly would love 10 or more Stoneguard, absolutely love the model from Day 1. Slowly planning an Alarith Temple display board. Today is my break day from school, so trying to get some hobbying in.
Absolutely love this. The colorscheme is just great. Love the gold/brass touch on the cloak and cloth. Grrr, Imrahil
We've all been there mate. Real life does have it's ups and downs. Great to see you're sticking with it!
Hey everyone! School has been busy but Ive done a little bit of hobbying for study breaks! I have been working on my Lumineth for Animosity IV, specifically my Dawnriders & Sentinels with my Stoneguard in the background. Im stoked about this nee scheme for them, inspired by storm clouds. This scheme will also be the scheme for my Wind temple also (which I have a special wind spirit kitbash in mind)! Let me know what you think! Hope you're all doing well.
Also working to repaint this model to better match my new Dawnriders. I very much loved the Zebra look (and my partner is upset i am repainting it lol) but I have wanted to do it for awhile and I think this is a great scheme for it. I had made this conversion at the release of the Lumineth Realm Lords, so feels good to get it back out and updated a bit. WIP New and Old Pictures
These are looking very fine and smooth. I particularly love the brown one, the color goes very good with the gold. Keep up the great work and good luck with school as well Grrr, Imrahil
