I don't really care if someone is a fan of something I don't like. I just don't want to be told I'm a bad person for liking or not liking something.

Anyway. I liked this video so much I made a meme.


It looks like Black Adam is succeeding despite woke critics hating it. If you judge a person or group by its enemies, this speaks well of the movie.

TikTok is basically societal cancer, and given how cancer took so many of my loved ones, I don't toss about the word "cancer" lightly.

Every health risk factor of social media in general is worse on TikTok than anywhere else. Low attention spans, social isolations, general moral decay, and explicitly encourages literally self destructive behavior.

TikTok is specifically targeting children and teens.

TikTok uses the same science as gambling slot machine to create and exploit addictions.

TikTok was created by a Chinese company that like most large Chinese company, is a puppet of the CCP for propaganda, subversion, IP theft, and general tracking of populations and behavior.

 
What a wise man. He is right. Disney is a lost cause.


I guess if you enjoy dissecting bad media, that's fine. I do enjoy dissecting bad media. I also like dissecting good media and mediocre media. But if I complain about something I am hoping there is a 1% chance that the thing I'm complaining about will be fixed (not because of me specifically but because of complaints in general). We are beyond this now.

The only thing that can save Disney is for the company to hit rock bottom. I think Disney is in a slow and steady decline. I don't think they will hit rock bottom for at least twenty years.

An interesting take... and you could very well be right. I do wonder though if there are other forces that might accelerate the process. Namely, newfound competition. What happens to the MCU if the DCU, freed of wokeness, finally finds its legs and takes off? What if a competitor emerges to challenge Disney Star Wars? What if fans move on from Disney quicker, because the rest of the industry is moving away from the woke.

Maybe its a fools hope. Then again, if the other studios shift away from wokeness, maybe it doesn't even really matter if Disney decides to bunker down as the last woke standout.

A corporation as big as Warner Discovery or Disney takes at least four years to change course if nothing goes wrong. Three years is about how much time it takes to get a movie or TV show completed from pitch meeting to release. One non-woke movie or show is not going to change the direction of a media company. You need a couple consecutive releases to start changing a company's image. Zaslav has grand plans to change the status quo, but it will take a while and he has to fight defenders of the status quo the whole way through.

So we got maybe three years before Warner Brothers gets to start showing enough success to rub it in Disney's face. Zaslov also has to deal with CNN and the other barnacles slowing down his proverbial ship. He's already facing backlash from non-woke people for daring to lay people off in Cartoon Network.

We got a couple smaller companies trying to build non-woke media up from the ground up but with their tiny budgets they make new media much slower. It will take longer than three years from now before they start making big enough ripples to scare Disney.

So hypothetical in 2025, if Warner starts making bank and Disney keeps losing money. It will still take at least a year for Disney to persuade or sack all the woke hold outs who won't believe or admit why Disney is losing money.

Disney's theme parks make a lot of money and this insulates Disney from financial failures in their media and merchandise outlets. Disney theme parks are gradually losing grounds to their competitors but this a very slow process. About every time they raise park prices by 5% they are only losing 3-4% of their park attendance. In some ways this is BETTER for Disney. If Disney doubles their prices and halves their park attendance, that means the lines for rides for the remaining rich park attendees are going to have shorter lines and maybe Disney could cut their staff by 10-30% and make more profit.

What is slowly bleeding Disney's theme parks to death is that their rides are out of date and not the best maintained but they have such a huge starting lead over the other theme parks that it will take a lot of time for Universal Studios and Six Flags to catch up with them money wise.

Disney won't change until they get their financial ass kicked in movies, streaming, merchandise and theme parks at the same time.

The next woke company to fail will probably be Viacom CBS. Then, who knows?
