I see from your earlier stuff that you're quite good with green stuff; would you be able to give an inexperienced user like myself a few tips?

EDIT: Also, where do you acquire your extruded foam?

The most invaluable tip i can give is keep trying. Always take on harder projects and don't accept "close enough is good enough" because you'll never get any better that way.

I think Chakax is finished... Besides a few minor highlights. He's a little bit converted, and i'm quite happy with him (moreso than the GW pose, this is more in line with the book artwork and looks more dynamic)
I am, however, unsure as to whether I want some blood splattered on the starstone mace. It would look very cool (and more similar to the army book artwork), but none of my other models have it, so i don't know if he'll look out of place. HALP!

OK, so a few minor fixups, then i'll be starting work on a flamespyre phoenix conversion. I won't be able to finish it until i buy the phoenix model as i'll only be using the flaming bits. This will allow me to have a frosty and a flamey from one kit.

In addition to this, i'll be finishing the rat ogre bone breaker and will show y'all when done, and I have some terradactyls/ripperdons (i'll be magnetising for choice)

The Frosty looks really nice! The color scheme makes me want to put a sweater on. I like the Flame conversion as well. Can't wait to see it completed!

Hey everyone. Bit of a minor update.. have started on oldblood dinohorse rider. I've decided to run him with the swore of bloodshed, dawnstone and potion of foolhardy for maximum crowd control. I'm hoping the sword is to scale and looks legitimate for a sword that confers +3 attacks!

I suppose you could take a nail file to it and sharpen up some of the green stuff edges.

OKie doke, so the conversion work is nearly done. Just some cleanup work left (some scales, gaps, trinkets).

You nearly inspire me to try a conversion using greenstuff/putty. I say nearly because I am horrendously lazy and have no skill with clay/putty. However, your conversion looks so good that I want something similar for my collection. You need to hurry up and paint that guy before I have to get off my lazy duff and paint one of my own.

Update.

So... band related stuff has stolen an entire weekend of painting from me, and I was hoping to have Oldblood (he's earned a name, Tikrox, as he's been nothing but a monster in every game I've played with him) finished.
I will have him finished this week and will start on the cold one riders this week too.

I couldnt hold off any longer.

The old blood is looking good! Not sure about the flowers. I know there are giant flowering plants in Lustria. Who knows what they look like, so these are probably OK to keep.
