Now someone has to order the stuff, to see if there really was just a change of bases... A thing that would have been unnecessary like the popes testicles... I mean just sell square bases till they are out of stock and the switch to round ones...

Edit: Just took a look at the German site bsb scar vet and lord kroak are also unavailable at the moment...

Don't they update the pictures if the bases change?

They are still no longer available in the UK.
Kroak, Temple G, Saurus Cav, Scar Vet Standard Bearer and the three priests.
Maybe they found extra stock? There was a scenario that Salamanders were temporary 'No longer avaliable' then popped back up.

I don't think new temple guard would release, their models are still fairly new and very nice. Although I dont think it's very likely it will happen, I have to hope for new cold one riders!:nailbiting: In my opinion, our cold ones are quite ugly and difficult to assemble compared to our other sets.:sour: The BSB's face looks a bit funny as well, but he's showing up as back in stock for me...

And now in the UK, Slann, Salamanders, Chakax, Chameleon Skinks and the others mentioned before are no longer available.

Canada here. Chakax* is now "Sold Out" + "No longer available." Lord Kroak was briefly in stock but is now once sold out again. From what I recall, changes to the UK store occur before changes worldwide.

    EDIT: Chakax, not Chameleons*

I am hoping that given how awesome the Lord Kroak rules in AOS are, that they are doing up a battalion box with a new organization rule set like the skink patrol or saurus host. That would be awesome!

Out of the 29 units on the GW site only 20 are available, 2 are available in one box Terradon and rippers and 3 are available in the carny box, so in total you have 16 separate units.

2 skink priests have been taken off the page as noted by @Matt The Slann

I better get some terradons while I can!

Here in japan (living here now) many say sold out. I managed to buy lots of em like 2 weeks ago just before they went unsold...

Curiously, the same thing happened with skaven plague units before they reissued them with round bases. I had to wait like 3 weeks to order some plague monks, plague censer bearers, priests and the catapult (which could have been made from the cannon - rectangular base though). Same for the furnace.

So i'm guessing they are making a new book or battle tome/whatever with the sold out units? Or they just ran out of em :)
Now i don't know what scenario they can come up with with these specific units...but hey, let's wait and see.

One thing that clicked in my brain while looking over models, if the plastic Skink Priest is no longer available. How would they convert it to round? The priest IS the square base (the model is part of the base) My guesses they may just chuck in a round base with it and not bother with the square-based model.
I wonder why spend the extra money to get people to alter it's plastic base/ scenery. If that's the case.

Now I'm in wonder how they will get around the plastic Skink Priest. Or maybe the model will be brand new.

Yeah it would be nice to see all armies get some new models. However it would seem strange to start with lizardmen. Why not empire? Or human/free people? Those guys have been the same for years

They kinda just did one of these in the new White Dwarfs. Might have trimmed the edges.

Why dosen't someone make a round base with a square hole in the middle so you can just slot your existing models into a new base if desired.

GW should have done this and supplied them FOC

Don't know. Getting to be a pain keeping the repackaged models backwards compatible as well.

I never saw recent White Dwarfs, so I might go have a looke when I get the chance.
Feels annoying that GW are forcing us onto the AoS wagon, which is also forcing older games to become unplayable soon. Soon.
Which is why I brought my last box of Temple Guard (which is last in the store) Just in case for future 8th lists and stuff.

Was about to buy some Temple Guard and old army books in the rare event that I could find someone else to play 8th with.
Then I noticed they were both gone at the local GW and that there were only two of us in a local AoS tournament.
    Sad lizard is sad.
