What are you doing today hobbywise?

The new ones are soooooo cool looking. If I didn't get a crazy good deal on the old ones I would get 40 of the new ones

So looking at them, how effective would it be to attach a saurus rider rather than a skink? I'm considering picking some up to use them as mounts for cold one cav in my 8th edition lizardmen.

From what I've seen online they should be around the same size as the cold ones, so it shouldn't be hard to just glue the saurus on the raptadons (maby some modifications would be needed, but that also shouldn't be too hard).
 
I worked on some MESBG conversions including one for the progress of the main character of our Campaign.

Huzzah, my deff dread arrived!

My Ork army is now... well... a decent size. Warboss in Mega Armor, 10 shoota boyz, 10 slugga boyz, 5 burnas, 5 lootas, 5 nobz with big choppas, a deff dread, and... an old metal weirdboy who needs some arms and an orky staff
 
Had 17 Medbury Miniatures Armoured Halfling Archers come in the mail today (wanted hobbit archers for my Arnor collection that weren't just Shire transplants), so I'm in the process of putting them on bases. I certainly won't argue over the two freebies I got out of the deal, though the real prize is getting the three with warhorns.
 
I had a nught for myself and got to crafting elements of scenery pieces for Moria.

Slowly painting the next part for the World of Twilight painting challenge, it's slow due to some life issues going on.
On the fence about my Dark Elves army, I want to sell them but then at the same time they were my first ever army I built, yep the corsairs may of been cleaved and took many Infernal Gateways to the face, whilst opponent would complain about their "Always Strike First.", they have that special place, would be nice to give them a deserved victory.
I could do some repaints and stuff and save them for if I do somehow find a way to play Old World. Do have a Vanari Lord I might convert up so I can have some more mounted lords.
I need more range as most of the army is all melee apart from some monsters and of course the sorceress. Depends if the new rules but will check the previous editions about the Corsairs and their crossbows.
 
Well I just entered into some kind of painting contest in a local(ish) store. They were doing an event that runs until October 20 or so were you are given a model selected from a few boxes either AoS or 40k, I picked out a Shadow Warrior(or Sister of Averlon). It's simple enough, free to enter and at the very least you get to keep the model you picked out. It can't be made as a diorama and they requested to keep kit bashing to a minimum. You just have to paint and base it and bring it back to the store where they will display it until the 27th of October. Fun stuff :D
 
Finally got the will to finish painting my latest Oldblood. Converted it to represent him wielding the Fencer's Blades and painted him in a similar scheme to my previous one. I'll do a final inspection tomorrow for any mistakes and then will take pictures. Also I downloaded the pdf for the fan made 8th edition DOW list as I lost it when my previous computer died.
 
Playing a 1010 point game of AoS tonight against my wife or MESBG her choice.
It will be my first time using our new Battletome against her devilish Jawz of Mork that crushed my Skeletons last time out. Jawz vs Claws... and jaws I guess :p
