AoS Campaign with increasing points-now 2500

I would say go for it, but at least put a slaan in if you are. A double EoTG can live up to its lore, and should fairly easily destroy large amounts of ghouls. Hope it works

Sure.
Slann, double engine and full sallies unit

We'll play saturday, i'll try to take pics for a batrep :)

Cool! Early phases are looking grim :(
Hope you were able to turn it around

BatRep has been completed.

Next round i will go against Skaven - pestilence. 1500 pts.
We'll discuss later the list. ;)

Ouch. That was a big loss.

Next time you should do what I did: put a lizard in the table and let his big romp tail knock over your opponent’s models.

Well, the list i've used was 1000.
The next game will be at 1500
Dread Saurian is 420 and Starpriest is 80...

OK, some food for thoughts.

Next battle will be 1500 pts, I will go against pestilence skaven and the battleplan will be Battle for the Pass

My idea is to focus on the two mid-table objectives, playing a sort of defensive game by holding them

The list my opponent played at 1000 was:

Grey Seer on screaming bell
Plague priest on furnace
40 plague monks
40 plague monks
20 plague monks

It will drown me with cheap hordes, so i fear Dread Saurian wouldn't be of much help.
i was thinking to play its game. Let's discuss about it

180 - shadowstrike starhost
240 - 40 skinks (boltsplitters)
240 - 40 skinks (boltsplitters)
280 - 6 rippers
80 - starpriest

260 - Slann
60 - Cronomantic Cogs
This leaves me with still 160 pts… an astrolith bearer would be nice, but given that i need to work on a sheer volume of Attacks, i'd rather go for 4 razordons.

This list it's a 3 drop, so probably i can win the deployment.

Tnx to the additional 2d6 move i think i can easily grab both the central obj immediately AND have a target (one of the predictable 40 rats block) in range for those 80 boltsplitters, at 3+/5+ rerolling all those 1s. this on average should force 24 saves.
The rippers will go for a juicy target (the screaming bell, or another horde),
the razors can be teleported for further shooting.
The idea is to almost wipe a couple of the enemy hordes in turn 1, then defend the centre. Tnx to wary fighter, he cannot inflict serious damages to the skinks hordes that are holding the objectives and with 12 summoning points each turn, i will start to send supports very soon. Who knows, maybe i can even summon 3 terradons turn 1.

Thoughts?

I like it! Razordons are the right choice imo.

Go kill some rats for Sotek!

Noooooooooooooooooo .......
The Dread, use the Dread :cool::cool::cool:

This may sound weird, but use a carnosaur, Oldblood or scar vet. Probably scar vet as they are better at mass unit killing while oldbloods are better anti monsters.
Skaven have no bravery, meaning you should focus on dealing as much damage as possible and punishing them on battle shock. Use a gryph feather charm on carnosaur and the starpriest to lower their to hit, and watch the chaos unfold. For every model you kill, multiple will flee.
Alternatively you could use a stegadon with sunfire throwers and a carnosaur while your slaan summons skinks.
I just feel that a large monster would go a long way to help with a victory. Hope it helps :D

I am seriously pondering about a monster or even a kroxy unit w moonhammer... but the fact is that i need to kill the bell first, as it removes the need to do battleshock tests for nearby skaven units.

The other problem is that plague monks, when killied in cac, attack for free before being removed and they can inflict some good damage.

Must think about it.

It seems that removal of the bell would let you do battle shock, so razordons could do a pretty good job killing them. With Skaven every battleshock roll counts, and routing as many as possible is critical.

16 razordons seem appropriate in this case to me, what do you think? :D

They would, if only i hade such a massive number. :p
I can afford 4 razors and 7 sallies.

If my opponent is wise enough, that bell will be surrounded by layers of disposable rats, out of reach of melee and short ranged shooting.
