Blog Egres Dino’s and their lunch!! Dragon time!!

So here where I’m at for my iron golem 5 painted and 3 WIP, I suppose I still have to paint the base and had some fluff to it but yeah.... tabletop quality for now and perhaps later give them a bit more love!!

Now the used one came with the cards and the Battletome!! Pretty excited about that army!!

Now just need to find the time to prep, build, and paint like 200 minis.....

For sure man I open the box cause who can resist a new box right!! And was looking at it I’m like yeah I not doing that in one piece that’s for sure lol

actually the last saurus warriors I got 24* are all glue up with plastic glue with the shield on I’m like NNNOOOOOO WHHHYYYYY!!! So yeah can’t pop them off like super/crazy glue... oh well more twisting and turning for me I guess... and man why people don’t remove mould line drive me nuts...
 
Not much of a update paint wise, I’m out working so can’t paint well didn’t bring any along anyway BUUUUT....

Brought along a mini building kit so was able to build up my Splintered Fang a little well to a point where I felt it would be easy to carry along and not break every single model.

Quick update,

Took advantage of our + temperatures today to prime a few models, I tried overspray with a mat white will see once I attack it with paint!!

I got the one on the left to try out, as mat as I could find around!!

Alright folks, made it here’s my first warband painted, tabletop quality for now they’ll have to win some battle to gain more attention!! Can’t put blood on a brand new model it’s gotta win it!! Lol

Thx it sure is a big learning curve, I thinking I may try to paint models on a smaller base and paint the base separate on the next one that’s not already glue on!! And have 4-5 base just for that. Idk will see I already got like a tone on base primed waiting to be painted... from now on tho!!

Left over sprue from said SC box, Bastiladon, skinks box ( unfortunately no blowpipes) and stegadon ( he unfortunately had sold the skinks and Stegadons to someone else)

Let’s add that to the piles of do to !! That poor slant need some love
 
Alright guys so I manage to score this lot for the price of the Slann and starpriest and a couple coffee, essentially getting the SC box and Bastiladon for free.

To my surprise the Slann is in the best shape over all the models not much done to it it’s was glued idk what glue he used he mention using GW glue on the models but didn’t double check for the Slann, now I manage to pop most piece off and getting the glue off the piece or most of it with little to no tools( I only have a crappy sprue clipper with me) and I’m essentially back to a brand new Slann minus a couple broken piece of the top pedestal the dangling things I should be able to find something great to go there.

Now what’s the best way to work with resin?!? It’s not primed ( I believe that’s the original colour of it anyway) still got mold line to be removed, what are the do and don’t I suppose is my question?!!

Now for the remaining model the Bastiladon is in not too bad shape the nice thing is it’s not primed/painted yet. The starpriest I think got into battle with the glue bottle and lost I’ll have to try to get is arm up properly, and got the square base attach to him idk why but yeah weird, I know its a fancy square base but still didn’t belong there to me anyway. And the remaining model will have to get drown and reputrified in the spawning pool and hope for the best, I manage to pop a few shield without to much force so I should be able to pop them all off, at lease if that the only thing I manage to get off is still going to be a victory!! As they are glued way to high up the shoulder for my taste some don’t event touch the hand ?!?

I suppose I’ll have to wait till the new Battletome come out and then I can figure out how to build everything.... with 69 saurus I’ll have I guess 60 of them with 9 spares perhaps extra banner/alpha/etc I guess I could have 20 of each and then the last 20 magnetized?!? Thoughts?!?

Same for the skinks I’m thinking I’ll be able to build up to 50 as I have a couple extra one from stegadon piece I believe. I’m looking at perhaps converting 10 as camo and then have 30 blow/shield and 10 spare/shield?!?

Time will tell i suppose

Alright quick update,

I’ve been working on my bearer and started with this!

Now I was surprised by the neck piece, it give some nice extra dangling pieces and a 25mm base fit in the middle with a little help... which it’s still give me the option to put a half drum on it I suppose but it look so good that center piece that I’ll probably stick with it (got the piece using a Aztec roller from green stuff world... I know defeat the purpose of kitbashing for cost but I can still use the roller for other stuff... that’s what I keep telling myself anyway...lol)

On the second one I also use a knight banner holder instead of the saurus warrior one, I like the look better with the skull and the wrap around where he’s holding it, he is holding a bit higher but it should still work!!

Painted these 3 today just need to work a bit more on the base and they are almost tabletop done.... I’ll probably try to dry brush on the fur a little to give it a little something extra!!

Crazy to think I’ve use 14 different paint/wash/ink in there!!
 
They keep breeding and multiplying!!!

Idk what to do they came out on squares base this time!!!

Now I’ll probably wait till..... we’ll its not like I’ll get to it before anyway but I’ll wait till the new Battletome come out but I’m thinking perhaps have one of the Slann been a Kroak?!?

Alright guys I need to come up with a plan for my saurus!!
Now I have about 76 may have to take a couple down for special characters but I may be ok using different model I guess I’ll need one for the bearer....

Anyway this is what I’m looking at right now

Option A make 25 of each clubs and spears and then make 4 command unit aka alpha/drum/banner guy for 12 guys and the left over 14 magnetized them to fit either club or spear?

Option B do 20 each have the 12 and mag 24 instead?

Perhaps only do 3 command unit and mag 17/27 as the bearer will put that down to 16/26?!?

I need input guys!!

Can't help you on the tactics side, but well done getting your daughter to help you paint! :D
 
Alright guys,

This month I’ve been side track by this SCE projet, I local guy that I got seraphon from in the past add orruks and BCR for trade and well long story short these and a few more SCE will be going away soon to be replace by a SC box of BCR build and SC box of orruks plus megaboss and brutes i believe and the new Battletome and cards all already build but no primer yet except one BCR got a touch of paint on I believe anyway I’ll see once I get them...

So I’ve been working on stripping and reassembling these models!! (You can see in the first page what they look like)

So these guys got stripped and I turn (second from right) into a normal one (he was a prime) and change his head it use to be a bretonian one and attached there backpacks they didn’t have any!! So they would all match head wise anyway!!

These guys were actually in pretty good shape took a few mold line off and stripped them the best I could, that primer wouldn’t come off no big deal...

Now these 2 set of guys man!!! first stripped them, then they add a mix of saurus and bretonian lances, took those off (they were all
Broken and the shields were the long one so wrong shields) and I realized that lances or hammer didn’t have much difference playability wise so looking through my extra bits there were just enough to convert them all into hammers guys, I did have fun cutting/glueing it all almost doing conversions well basically was converting to normal lol

Ill have to add a extra picture later as I’m not home right now but my last 3 prosecutors, was double hammers guys but try to do as many different option as I could do for WARCRY!! I believe I manage to do all the option except the 2 handed sword as I didn’t have any!! My other group of 5 paladin I did convert a couple so got 3 with the long lances/sword and one of each hammer and axes, and all got a different shoulder pad!! Anyway I’ll have to take pictures of them!! To come!!!
