When you said you were going to tint the water effect further up, I thought it didn't really need it, but that is definitely better.

What do you plan to do with it, post-winning games-day? Do you have a special room for your dioramas and game pieces?

I am thinking about that, i may put it in my office, i have some spare room and considering i am a Game Developer artistic crafty things that show how creative i am are always good haha!

The manager of my local GW may want to keep it around there at the store for a wile, half of my lizardmen are already there in one of the cases. (i don't mind means i don't need to bring them back and forth from my home for matches) and honestly i do dearly love my Local GW they are great people and they really do a good job of making it feel like a hobby shop/gaming club not just some store trying to push overpriced products.

SHIT!!!!

at the last minute as i was packing my army into my case and preparing to bring it to the judging tomorrow i realized my standard barer for my temple guard HAS NO STANDARD!

i dont have time to sculpt somthing nice so this is the best i could think up with what i had in my bix box (its actually a massive chest but you get the point)

What do you think? think its good enough?

it looks good, not sure about the human helmet though i dont know if it fits.... maybe replace it with a fan shape of feathers like on the old metal temple guard standard bearer? the rest looks good though :smug:

The feathers are a good idea! (off to scrummage threw the chest of bits)

The helmet i don't know i kinda like it because it does feel very Greek, fitting with the theme but at the same time your right it is human =/ ill see if i can find anything better.

your right it does look cool but doesnt really make much sense... you could probably find a way to leave in the crest from the helmet without the actual helmet.. apart from that just some form of decorative object..

a temple guard helmet or any dinosaur skull would look cool... if your set on a helmet type thing even a saurus head painted in that nice bronzed effect you used on the skink on your display board ;)

dont get me wrong i do agree that the helmet looks good maybe im just thinking into it to much :D

Ya i agree with your logic i just cannot find something that looks good the lizard heads look to fake for some reason to stuck on. its 9pm and i turn it in tomorrow at 10:30 i think I'm just doing to the helmet but i will add some feathers to it all i like that idea.

Maybe the champion headress from the cold on cav kit,
not sure it you got any cold ones, but they came with a lot of usefull extra bits.

Or slice up one of the square serpent standards from the saurus kit.

I WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was just of my local store but honestly i was amazing the other army's presented where REALLY fucking good, i was sure i had lost to a orc army's on parade, not that it was better painted it just has SO much going on and it was fun to look at because of that.

ill post some pics in a bit! now its on to nationals!!!!

No doubt you will go very far with this. This piece is AMAZING! I don't think I'll ever possess the skills to create what you have. Simply awesome man.

p.s. the guy in the background in the warhammer fantasy regional champion who also won national a few times. i have been getting my ass kicked on a weekly bases by him to try and get better xD

The photographer says ill get them Tuesday but in the mean time here are some of the low res ones.









these are low res raw images, and just a few from the shoot i still need to have them croped and touched up but you get the idea.

As i look over the images i think some of them could do with some darkening in photoshop, the stone is so light that it is hard to see the details as it just turns into white when you compress it. what do you guys think?
