Sorry guys, but what were you expecting for 150pts
The Bastilodon is actually damn good for its points value, the ark of Sotek is a bit of a niche kit, clearly you're only going to run it if you're wanting to keep a swarm in the game, but an ark basti and a single swarm can potentially tie up a flank, remember that opponents fighting in the flank/rear of a basti don't get the bonuses for doing so, so he's a great unit to anchor your battle line. Also T5/2+ is pretty resilient for his points cost, and like all monsters he's really going to rely on his stomps to generate most of his casualties.
The solar engine looks more general purpose, I'm not personally a fan of bound spells, but it might be useful in smaller games, or if you're not running a Slann, either way the Int buff can be handy, both in combat (simultaneous striking with orcs/savage orcs) and when that purple sun threatens to roll up your flank.
At the end of the day the Bastilodon is crazy cheap for a monster, I say he's well worth it, and having out one together today it is one of my favourite kits, its so easy to assemble it as either varient and have them interchangeable, there is even enough crew for both set ups without sharing.
As far as I've seen the troglodon is really the only fail unit in the book, I'm very much looking forward to trying out everything else.
As far as special characters go Oxy is still way overpriced, most of the others seem pretty fair, although I'm not sure what to make of Mazdamundi. I'm not sure whether he is really worth his points cost (and you've got to be a bit mental to want a Slann on a Stegadon) but he is so expensive You can't field him until you are well past 3k, so its never likely to come up for me.
